He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force. He was united in marriage to Emiko Takata on January 29, 1960 in Japan; she preceded him in death on December 8, 2001. Dean retired from the Rock Island Millwork after 45 years of services where he was one of the top Anderson Window sales representatives in the country. He was a very loyal family man who enjoyed gambling. He also enjoyed giving others his advice, whether they wanted it or not. Those left to honor his memory include his daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Jeff McKinney, adored grandsons: George and Marte and three additional grandchildren; sister, Wilma Warren and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, Dean was preceded in death by his parents, son Larry and ten siblings. The family would like to extend a heart-felt thank you to UnityPoint Hospice and the staff at Rosewood Care Center for their wonderful care shown to Dean. Your kindness will not be forgotten!
