Janice L. Ranson, 99, of Davenport passed away on Sunday, August 6, 2017 at Davenport Lutheran Home, Davenport. A committal service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, August 12, 2017 in the Davenport Memorial Park Mausoleum. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Janice was born June 27, 1918 in Davenport, daughter of John H. and Velma Fellner. She was united in marriage to William E. Ranson on June 20, 1943 in Davenport. He preceded her in death on December 24, 1994....

Janice was born June 27, 1918 in Davenport, daughter of John H. and Velma Fellner. She was united in marriage to William E. Ranson on June 20, 1943 in Davenport. He preceded her in death on December 24, 1994.

She was employed in several medical offices including Bettendorf Medical, Wilkinson Finn and Rice Oral Surgeons. She retired as business manager from Oral Surgery Associates in 1980.

Mrs. Ranson was a lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, where in earlier years she taught Sunday School Classes and was involved as a volunteer in various church activities. Additional memberships include Putnam Museum and the Museum Guild.

She is survived by her son, John Ranson. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her brother, Marlin "Jack" Fellner of British Columbia, Canada.
